Founder & CEO
Byron
Byron is a sun-chasing American Creative, Founder, and International Business Leader who’s spent the past 10 years operating in Europe (England, Spain, The Netherlands). His Swiss Army Knife set of skills and experiences has positioned him to pivot with growth in each era of his 37 years. He has 15+ years of aerospace and automotive global operations and supply chain experience, and equal experience as music producer and painter.
Byron’s most recent pivot is the decision to go 100% all-in on DAFThub in December 2025. He has found joy in supporting Americans who are ambitious enough to not only leave the States, but also launch / grow their own business(es) simultaneously. The DAFTer is a unique American migrant. The DAFTer isn’t “protected” by an employer’s expat administration and processes. The DAFTer must not only focus on their business brand, but also their personal brand, which fosters a certain way of moving around in the world.
The DAFThub Facebook Group was on “autopilot” until Byron’s corporate employment era voluntarily came to an end, and his focus shifted to more of a serving mindset. As he made the switch from the Highly Skilled Migrant (HSM) permit to the DAFT (Dutch American Friendship Treaty) permit, he quickly realized a deeper sense of connection with the DAFTer community, even though he’s been a ZZPer since 2022. This is what sparked the decision to go full-time on the DAFThub platform to create clarity and peace of mind for other Americans with the same goals. Byron’s passions are travelling the world, training his mind and body, exploring beaches and mountains, basketball, poker, food, and comedy.

Lloyd Napier
Lloyd Napier is the founder of Expat Advisory, a portal-first planning practice built for Americans relocating to the Netherlands. He has spent more than 10 years working in cross-border finance, and his work is focused on the real-world decisions that make a move feel either manageable or chaotic. Things like move-year sequencing, building a USD and EUR cashflow system that matches real bills, and getting organized across accounts, countries, and professionals so the next step is obvious.
Expat Advisory exists for a simple reason. Lloyd kept seeing smart people do the hard work, pay premium fees, and still get left with generic checklists and vague “send me your forms” emails. In his view, DAFT should feel practical and calm. When it feels expensive and intimidating, that is usually the ecosystem around it, not the underlying process. The real friction is usually sequencing and clean documentation, plus the money layer that nobody warns you about. Banking timing, proof trails, and the order of operations between the IND, municipality registration, KvK, and everything that depends on those steps.
So he built resources that are meant to keep people in control. Expat Advisory has a central DAFT hub and a sources-first DIY guide designed to be easy to follow and easy to verify. The goal is to reduce guessing, pressure-test decisions, and give people a system they can actually execute.
Lloyd moved to the Netherlands with his wife and their three kids, ages 2, 4, and 6, and they live in Apeldoorn. Family life is the center of everything. Outside of work he is into retro video games, chess, poker, and traveling with his family whenever they can.
